Soi 29

An interior refurbishment for Soi 29, a restaurant in "Kulturhuset Mazetti" in Malmö.

The restaurant is divided into two sections with different atmospheres; the first is a bar area with an open and bright character, furnished with custom-designed oak and marble carpentry, while the other is a dining area with a cozier style. In the dining room, a green velvet fabric hangs from rails in the ceiling. The fabric covers the walls while also creating niches and smaller rooms within the large dining space. The fabric dampens sound and light, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere.

Eleven large rice paper lamps hang from the ceiling to provide pleasant general lighting and create an interesting ceiling landscape. Pendant lights offer subdued but focused lighting on the food at the tables. A large number of spotlights in the ceiling illuminate the walls, adding depth and shimmer to the velvet fabric.
